Wallcoverings 101: “The Well-Covered Wall”

The WA recently created a new Wallcoverings 101 CEU intended for any professional connected to the field of interior design or architecture who is specifying and/or installing commercial wallcoverings. The course is accredited by the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC).

The course covers a number of key factors that should form the foundation of wallcoverings knowledge as related primarily to commercial specifications and installations. Among the items covered are the features and benefits of wallcoverings as well as the basic construction of various wallcoverings. The importance of project planning, installation and maintenance factors to ensure greater client satisfaction with the final product are also addressed. In addition to reviewing the answers to frequently asked questions there are links to links to additional reference material and information which might be beneficial to have on hand in the future

Course Objectives:

An introductory seminar addressing the following areas:

  • The features and benefits of wallcoverings.
  • A brief comparison of the relationship of the past, present, and future of wallcovering.
  • The basic construction of various wallcoverings.
  • A quick overview of project planning, installation and maintenance factors that will help to ensure greater client satisfaction with the final product.
  • A review of the answers to frequently asked questions.
  • Links to additional reference material and information which might be beneficial to have on hand in the future.
