Michael Dominguez

Michael Dominguez is the Senior Vice President of Hotel Sales for MGM Resorts International. Dominguez provides oversight for MGM Resorts International hotel sales in Las Vegas and other global destinations. He is responsible for leisure and group sales, including 42,000 hotel rooms and three million square feet of meeting space.

MGM Resorts International is one of the world's leading global hospitality companies, operating a portfolio of destination resort brands including Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay and The Mirage. Michael is a dynamic speaker whose depth of industry experience is sure to provide attendees with tremendous insights on sales performance.

Dominguez was recognized among the "Top 25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry" by Successful Meetings magazine for the last two years; as a "meeting trendsetter" by Meetings Focus magazine and a "change maker" by MeetingsNet in 2014. In 2013 he was honored among HSMAI's "Top 25 Minds in Sales & Marketing" and as one of the "50 Most Influential Hispanics in the US" by Hispanic Business.

Dominguez is the immediate past chairman of Meeting Professionals International's board of directors. He serves on the executive committee of the U.S. Travel Association, the steering committee of its Meetings Mean Business Coalition, PCMA Issues and Trends Taskforce, ASAE Industry Partner Alliance and Starcite, Elite Meetings and Convene Green advisory boards.

Earlier in his career, Dominguez was vice president of global sales for Loews Hotels and vice president of sales and services for the Greater Palms Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau. He began his career with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in food and beverage.



Mark Strauss
Interior Design Media

Mark Strauss is the President of Interior Design Media, the global, industry-leading design publication, website, and events brand serving the interior design industry.

Beginning his media career in advertising sales in 1976, Mark Strauss became the National Sales Manager of the largest B to B magazine of its time.  He was named Publisher of Interior Design magazine in 1994, which under his leadership has experienced strong, continuous growth. He headed the development of, the site for the industry's largest and most engaged design audience.  In 2010, a book publishing division was added to the portfolio.  Leading the charge, Interior Design Events was launched in 2011, creating in person experiences that connect the industry and promote thought leadership and collaboration across a wide range of practice areas. 

A leader in the design community, Mark is an active participant in many industry organizations including the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and Council of Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) where he sits on the board. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and is also the Chairman of the Interior Design Hall of Fame.
