Bill Freeman
Resilient Floor Covering Institute

Bill Freeman is currently a consultant to the Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI). He retired from Armstrong World Industries after 35 years in the Floor and Carpet divisions. He has worked for the past 13 years for RFCI as a technical and regulatory consultant with much of his work focused on environmental issues. Bill is past Vice-Chair of the National Institute of Building Science’s Consultative Council in Washington, DC. He was a member of the original task group which drafted the Materials & Resources section of the U.S. Green Building Council LEED rating system. He was also a member of the Technical Committee which developed the Green Globes ANSI Standard. Bill is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Green Building Initiative as well as Chairman of the Working Group of ISO Technical Committee 219 which establishes worldwide standards for resilient flooring.

Brian Beaulieu
ITR Economics

Brian Beaulieu has been an economist with ITR Economics since 1982 and its CEO since 1987. He is also Chief Economist for Vistage International and TEC, global organizations comprised of over 13,000 CEO’s. At ITR, Brian has been engaged in applied research regarding business cycle trend analysis and the utilization of that research at a practical business level. For the past 25 years, he has been giving workshops and seminars across the US and Canada to thousands of business owners and executives. Prior to joining the ITR Economics, Brian was an economist for the US Department of Labor where he worked on the health care component of the Consumer Price Index. Brian is co-author of the book, Make Your Move.

Mark Strauss
Interior Design Media

Mark Strauss is the President of Interior Design Media, the global, industry-leading design publication, website, and events brand serving the interior design industry.

Beginning his media career in advertising sales in 1976, Mark Strauss became the National Sales Manager of the largest B to B magazine of its time.  He was named Publisher of Interior Design magazine in 1994, which under his leadership has experienced strong, continuous growth. He headed the development of, the site for the industry's largest and most engaged design audience.  In 2010, a book publishing division was added to the portfolio.  Leading the charge, Interior Design Events was launched in 2011, creating in person experiences that connect the industry and promote thought leadership and collaboration across a wide range of practice areas. 

A leader in the design community, Mark is an active participant in many industry organizations including the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and Council of Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) where he sits on the board.  He is a frequent speaker at industry events and is also the Chairman of the Interior Design Hall of Fame.

Richard P. Honack
Nanosecond Cul

Richard P. Honack is an award winning professor, international speaker and consultant on the topics of cultural trends and realities, marketing, strategic leadership and services marketing and management.

He is an Academic Director for several Kellogg School Executive Education programs and also teaches in the Executive Development Program (EDP) as well as several other Kellogg programs, where his sessions focus on leading and marketing in the Nanosecond Culture and Services Marketing and Management. Honack’s research and teaching focuses on generational marketing and managing in the "Nanosecond Culture.” His lectures emphasize the need to understand the changing values and dynamics of the six-generations that makeup that culture in today’s marketplace-Great Generation, Silent Generation, Baby Boomers, Gen "X,” Gen "Y” and now Generation "Z.” He discusses the impact these generational differences make in the marketing of services and products as well as the importance of the different expectations that each of these groups have on management within an organization.

Joe Contrera

Joe Contrera is the president and founder of ALIVE @ WORK ® LLC, a leadership & sales consulting firm that specializes in developing intentional leaders, purposeful employees, and extraordinary results.

He is the author of the book entitled, LIGHT 'EM UP: How to Ignite the Fire in Your Sales Team in Just 21 Days, as well as articles on the topics of leadership development, accountability, sales success, and employee engagement.

He is a professional member of the National Speakers Association (NSA) an international professional organization made up of 3,800 of the most successful speakers. He has served on the Illinois Board of Directors where he was awarded the Wordsmith Award by his peers for excellence on the platform. Joe has also served on the Phoenix Chapter Board of Directors. He is a Certified Professional Emotional Intelligence Analyst and is certified in both DISC Behavioral and Motivational Disciplines. He is a graduate of the Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael, California and a member of the International Coaches Federation (ICF).

Bruce Ford
Lodging Econometrics

Ford is Senior Vice President of Sales for Lodging Econometrics (LE), the industry authority for hotel real estate. Ford has worked in the hospitality industry for more than 7 years. In his role, he is responsible for the growth of LE as a nationally recognized source of hotel development and hotel real estate sales information. He initiated LE’s Call Management Program (CMP), which targets important Prospects in the LE database and merges them into any company’s call management system.

He specializes in designing CMPs for Vendors, traveling extensively to meet with Home Office Marketing Teams and Field Staff to develop customized programs to their specifications. He works with the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) to provide Sales Leads and consulting services to its Allied Members. He also serves on the Allied Member Executive Committee within AH&LA.

Ford has participated in writing on hotel real estate matters for leading hospitality and real estate publications including: Real Estate Forum Magazine, Lodging Magazine, and New England Real Estate Journal. His research reports are often cited and he is quoted frequently in a variety of newspapers and journals.

John Dixon
Whittle Industry Data

John Dixon is the managing director of Whittle Industry Data which specialises in producing business statistical services for trade associations and other professional bodies.

He has extensive experience of compiling statistical information for associations both in the UK and abroad with particular emphasis on the process industries including paints, printing inks, metal packaging and wallcoverings. The company works for the British Coatings Federation, the European Paint and Artists Colours Association (CEPE) and the Portuguese and Spanish paint associations. For 20 years, he has been responsible for IGI’s statistics including their Annual Wallcoverings Sales Report and Benchmarking Project.

After reading Economics at an university he joined a firm of management consultants in 1979 as a graduate trainee and in 1994 set up Whittle Industry Data with a colleague, Paul Whittle.
